MINUTE PAPER.

A grant was made on Special Grounds of £150 to Mr Cronin to enable him to proceed to Japan for the recovery of his health.
It would appear probable from this letter that Cronin resigned his appointment and went to Japan on his passage home. Nothing however has been heard from the family regarding any pension having been granted.
It had better be enquired into at Madras & The Cronin case unfounded.
Any arrears should be due. A formal certificate of enquiry should be made.
